Ingredients

3 tbsp oil

1 small onion (chopped)

1 tbsp cumin seeds

½ ginger & garlic clove (chopped)

¼ tbsp coriander powder

¼ tbsp red chilli powder

3 cup palak/spinach

4 cups Ice cold water

3 green chillies (sliced)

½ cup water

9 paneer cubes

¼ tbsp salt

½ tbsp cream

Palak Paneer is a vegetarian North Indian dish very popular in Punjabi cuisine. A creamy and cheesy gravy that can be enjoyed with Naan bread, Roti or Rice.

Instructions

1) In a frying pan, add oil, onion, cumin seeds, ginger & garlic cloves and stir well.

2) Set it aside.

3) In a separate pot, blanch palak for 1 minute.

4) Place in ice cold water to preserve color.

5) In a blender, add spinach, green chillies (as per your spice endurance) and water and blend of low setting.

6) Add the blended spinach in the pan and stir well with the other ingredients.

7) In a separate pan, add paneer and fry on medium heat.

8) Once the cheese is done, set it aside.

9) Add salt in the spinach pan and stir well.

10) Add the fried paneer in the spinach pan and stir again.

11) Add cream and stir well.

12) Palak Paneer is ready to serve.
