How to Make Achari Chicken:

1) Begin by preparing the onion-chili paste in a blender. Add 1 small onion along with 3 green chilies and a splash of water. Blend until a smooth paste forms, then aside.

2) In a large fry pan, add 4 Tbsp oil. Once heated, saute 450g boneless cubed chicken until the color starts to change (about 3-5 minutes).

4) Next, add 1/2 cup tomato sauce and 1/2 cup yogurt. Cook for 5 minutes.

5) Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp nigella seeds, and 1 tsp fennel seeds. Cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

6) Finally, lower the flame, add 1 tsp achar and 1/4 cup cream. Cook on a low flame for 5 minutes until oil starts to come out and the gravy thickens slightly.

7) Once ready, turn off the flame and garnish with green chilies and cilantro.
